Lacey has been directing the Rockbridge Youth Chorale since 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Concordia College, where she studied conducting with Dr. Rene Clausen.
Lacey is currently completing her Masters of Music Education degree from James Madison University. Lacey has completed her Kodaly Level I and has post-graduate work in Orff-Schulwerk.
Lacey has twelve years of teaching experience, grades pre-K to twelve, and is currently teaching elementary and middle school music in the Buena Vista City Public Schools. Lacey is a native of Wheatland, Wyoming, and lives in Lexington with her husband and two children, both of whom sing in the Rockbridge Youth Chorale.
Lori M. Parker
Lori M. Parker directs the Rockbridge Youth Chorale’s kindergarten through second-grade choir. Lori holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, OK. She has done graduate study in Voice Performance at both Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, and Missouri State University, Springfield, MO.
During her nine years in North Carolina, Lori taught general music classes, directed three children’s musicals per year, and conducted a seventy-voice honors chorus for second and third graders at a large primary school. In 2012, she earned National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Lori has taught Voice and/or Music Education classes at Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, MO, Missouri State University, Springfield, MO, and Chowan University, Murfreesboro, NC.
Since moving to Lexington, she has been the grant coordinator for the READY Program, a 21st Century Community Learning Center, at Central Elementary, and is now the grant coordinator for the B.E.S.T. Program at Enderly Heights Elementary in Buena Vista. Lori is a native of Atlanta, Texas, and lives in Lexington with family.
