Rockbridge CHORUS
The Rockbridge Chorus, founded in 1975, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this season! We are a diverse group of local, amateur singers, who come from all walks of life, backgrounds, vocations and avocations, and hail from all parts of the country, in keeping with the eclectic nature of the local community. Many sing in local church choirs and performing groups, small and large, up and down the Shenandoah Valley.
During the concert season, which runs from September to April, the group comes together one night a week for rehearsals and performs an annual holiday concert in December. The season usually ends in the spring with a concert featuring musical genres from folk to the Bach Passions. In addition to our usual offerings, this special season, the choruses will be adding a pops concert in September, which will be led by our new associate artistic direct, Scott Williamson, and a Messiah Sing-Along in November, a tradition we are glad to be bringing back this year. Come and join the celebration!
