Youth Chorale Interns
Katie Carter
Intern - Children’s Choir
My name is Katie Carter and I’m from Charlottesville, VA! I am so excited to be a part of RYC this year and can’t wait to get started. Besides music, I love anything outdoors and am very active! My favorite color is pink and my favorite food is popcorn. Again, I can’t wait to help out with RYC this year and learn alongside your kiddos.
Anne Cox
Intern - Children’s and Youth Choirs
My name is Anne Cox, and I am a rising sophomore at Washington and Lee intending to double major in Politics and Music! I have been participating in Cantatrici and this year will also join University Singers and the Choral Conducting Mentorship Program at W&L.
I am from Atlanta, Georgia and have been involved with musical theater and choir since I was about four years old, so it’s been a huge part of my life. I have worked as a music camp counselor and student director before, and this year I will be assisting with both the Youth & Children’s choirs. I am beyond excited to get involved with RYC!

Hi everyone! My name is Paris Guerrero, and I’m a rising senior at Washington and Lee University, where I’m majoring in Music with a minor in Music Education. I’m so excited to be coming back to RYC for my third year with the Children’s Choir!
I’ve spent this summer as an intern with Sarasota Opera, where I had the opportunity to work with students and receive incredible vocal training. And now, I’m currently in Italy participating in an opera training program!
I’m so excited to see you all in just a few short weeks and get to make music together again!
John Paul Hammond

He is originally from New London, Connecticut, and sings with the W&L University Singers and Glee Club.
