Youth Chorale Interns
Kailesh Amilcar

Hailing from a small town in Pennsylvania where he learned to play piano when he was six, Kailesh returns for another season as Intern for the Youth Choruses. Now a senior, Kailesh is a physics and music major at Washington & Lee University. He plans to continue on to graduate school. For now he studies, plays for a local church, and supports the youth choruses with his voice and at the piano.
Maggie Eaton
Intern - Youth Choir
A sophomore studying music education at Washington & Lee University, Maggie grew up in New Market, Virginia on a dairy farm. We imagine her singing to the cows as she practiced her high school musical theatre roles. At W&L, she is an alto in the University Singers and a member of the Choral Conducting Mentorship Program. Maggie joins as an intern for the 2024/2025 season.
Paris Guerrero
Intern - Children and Youth Choirs
A junior music major, pursuing a degree in vocal and instrumental music at Washington & Lee University, Paris returns this season as an intern for both youth choruses. She sings, plays the violin in the University Orchestra, is a member of the University Singers and takes part in the Choral Conducting Mentorship Program as well.
John Paul Hammond
Intern - Children and Youth Choirs
From New London, Connecticut, John Paul is a rising junior at Washington and Lee University pursuing a double major in European History and Music. He is a member of the Choral conducting Mentorship Program, sings with the University Singers and Glee Club. He is the Director of Music for the W&L and VMI Catholic Campus Ministry where he leads music for weekly student services. When he has any free time, he likes to hike and play the organ. 2025/2026 will be his first season with our youth choruses. Welcome aboard!
